Module installation

In order to use the module, PrestaShop 1.4.0 or higher is required.

The installation of the module takes place in the following stages:

  • Log in the store’s administration panel
  • Navigate to the “Modules” tab (1)
  • Click the “Add a module from my computer” (2) link

  • In the “Module file” section, indicate the goodrelations.zip (3) file downloaded earlier and click “Upload this module” (4).
  • The system will obtain the module and locate it in the “SEO” section on the list of available modules.

  • The red cross (5) informs that the module has not yet been installed
  • In order to install the module, click the “Install” (6) button
  • The installation process takes place automatically

  • After completion, the notification will appear (7)
  • The exclamation mark icon appearing after this notification informs about the need to configure the module (8)
  • New links appear near the module (9)
  • After clicking the “Configure” link, the user is transferred to the administrative panel of the module
  • There are 4 tabs in the panel: General Settings, Inventory, Location and contact, Other.

Google sitemap – this section indicates whether the Sitemap has already been activated in the store. If not, a link to the section which enables to install the module and generate the sitemap.xml (10) file is displayed. If the Sitemap module is active and the sitemap (11) file has been generated, it may be necessary to regenerate the file. The proper notification (12) and link to the location in which it is possible (13) are displayed.

GoodRelations Notifier - if the sitemap file is generated, the GR Notify Service automatic notifications can be launched. This service triggers automatic notification of sites which scan pages that contain the GoodRelations ontology, and update databases with information and products included in the user’s store.

Shop logo URL - section indicating access path to the store’s logo,

GoodRelations logo - if this option is activated, the GoodRelations icon will be displayed in the bottom right-hand corner of the store, indicating to the visitors that the store publishes proper RDF tags of the GoodRelations ontology.

"Inventory" tab

This tab enables to manage the displayed information pertaining to the number of products in the store.

  • "Show stock info" (14) - enables to decide whether the information pertaining to the number of products is to be published on the site at all.
  • "Suppress stock info for sold out items" (15) - hides information concerning sold items. If the warehouse state of an item will be smaller than or equal to 0, the information about the quantity will not be displayed on the site.
  • "Show stock level" (16) - this option enables to select whether the module is to display the actual warehouse state of a product, or to limit the number of products in advance by the provided value (17).

"Location and contact" tab

  • In this tab, the administrator may enter address and contact data of the store (18).
  • It is also possible to provide geolocation (19) – the information however is not yet displayed in tags.

"Other" tab

Here the available methods of payment and delivery that the client may use when making purchases in the store are indicated (20).

Saving changes

After clicking the “Save changes” button at the bottom of the site, the settings will be saved in the database, while the shop will from then on publish proper RDF tags on its pages.

  • Successful saving is confirmed with an adequate notification (21)
